Snow accumulations are expected to be light, ranging from a dusting up to a tenth of an inch at lower elevations and about an inch above 4000 feet. Pockets of brief freezing rain are possible in the lower Treasure Valley in Oregon and the low-lying areas near Ontario, Oregon, and Caldwell, Idaho, though most areas will see snow as the dominant precipitation.

Travelers should plan for potential light snow on the roads and allow extra time for their morning commutes. Even vehicles equipped with 4WD or AWD may experience slower stopping on slick roads.
